One of my all time favorite activities in Sydney is wandering around laneways in search of vibrant street art. It is so thrilling to me when new works of art pop up or old walls get revived. Today, I am taking you on a journey through the inner west suburb of St. Peters.Would you believe me if I told you this is the view outside of my bedroom window? The origins of graffiti in my city began with Indigenous Australians etching onto walls thousands of years ago. Fast forward to today when our local street scene has attracted many bold, modern artists who create provocative and engaging works throughout the lanes of Sydney for the benefit of the public. Over the years, May Lane has transformed from a dark, grungy back alley to an unrestricted, colourful space where artists can express themselves and visitors can appreciate the work.
Now I’m curious, is beautiful street art splashed across your city walls?
