WOULD YOU RATHER…
Get dumped and eat the cost of your ex’s trip OR spend an entire 2-week vacation with someone you can’t stand?
Money would be no object at this point. I value my sanity far too much. Speaking from experience here people.
Live in Africa OR in Antarctica for a year?
Africa has been top of my wanderlist for some time now. Spotting the big 5 on a safari would be surreal. And I prefer debilitating heat over snow and frigid temps any day.
Be captured by a wild tribe in the jungles OR by pirates at sea?
I prefer my captures on solid ground, thank you. At least this way it would be easier to find my body. Too far?
Live in extreme luxury for a but with no freedom to do what you want OR on the lowest budget travel imaginable, with the freedom to travel anywhere you like?
Limos, lobster and champagne in France on a strict schedule would be torture. I’d rather live off of street food and sleep in a hammock on the beach if I could plan my own adventures. That is half the fun of travel after all!
Attend the royal wedding OR the Olympic games?
The royal wedding would be a fleeting affair, not to mention depressing that I’ll never have one that extravagant or be that beautiful. I would love to attend Olympics 2016 in Rio. The colors alone would be swoon-worthy!Dine at the hottest new restaurant before it gets big OR a hole in the wall ethnic restaurant with amazing food OR a familiar classic with grandma’s comfort food?
I wouldn’t necessary classify myself as a “foodie” but all the same have come to enjoy a variety of cuisines since moving to Sydney where culture is diverse. Give me Lebanese, Vietnamese, Turkish, Thai, Malaysian, Ethiopian you name it! Although I do miss my classic Mexican from state-side time to time…
Live one life that lasts 1,000 years or live 10 lives that last 100 years each?
10 vastly different lives. One as a travel blogger, one as a pro tennis player, one as a vineyard owner, one as a charity giver in Kenya, one as a street artist, one as a nature photographer, one as a rock climber, one as a professional nail polish namer, one as an avid socialite, one as a techy app developer. Or the ability to do all of my passions at once for a living. The possibilities are endless!
Wake up with a regrettable tattoo on your butt OR with a random stranger in your bed?
Dude, you gotta live with that tatt for the rest of forever. I’ll take the man I can ditch, pronto.
Travel wide or travel deep? When the travel bug first bit, I was dedicated to checking off as many countries as possible in my lifetime. The more I travel, the more my mind is changing. I just don’t feel that travelling to a new place every few days can give you a true, immersive experience. I want to forge deeper connections to the people, traditions and customs of the places I visit, for a meaningful impact on both myself and ideally the community.
Let’s face it, there is no one right or a wrong way to travel. And that my friends, is a beautiful thing.
